I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with Sundays. Sundays means the weekend is almost over and the work week is only hours away. But waking up early and getting a head start on errands makes the day that much more satisfying.
Today I want to talk about meal prepping. (Crucial to a healthy lifesyle). I was never one to take the time to make a list of dinners for the week, grocery lists, and then take the time to come home and make things ahead of time… and then I suffered during the week.
Sunday meal preps with my boyfriend have become one of our favorite parts of our weekend. We’ll sit down, plan dinners/lunches for the week and then its ‘game on’ at the grocery store to find everything we need.
Taking the time to make things ahead of time really saves time, money, and energy during the week and keeps us on track.
Lunches are already planned and pre-made, which saves us time in the morning and gives us a few extra minutes to lay in bed (Zzzzzzz) .. and come on, who doesn’t want an extra 10 minutes in bed in the morning!?
Dinners are already prepped and planned, so coming home late after the gym doesn’t mean picking up pizza on the way home for convenience, or eating pasta for the sake of saving time.
Sunday meal preps are a part of our routine now, and we love it. How do you meal prep?
